This Way Down are five piece rock band that formed in 1999. Since then the lads have recorded their debut ep “So Long” in 2000 and a 5 song mini album “disconnected” in 2003. During the first few years the band done a lot of live shows and built up a small but loyal fan base. After the initial, years off promoting and gigging the band decided to take a break from the live scene to record their debut album, which started 2 years ago. Due to a series of events and bad luck the album got delayed. But now the band is delighted to say that it’s finished. This Way down have put together an impressive twelve song album, which they recorded and produced themselves in a 8*12 garden shed! The album was then sent to Robin Robyns at Mid Atlantic USA to be mastered. The band is heavily influenced by American hard and soft rock bands such as Alice in chains, System of a Down, Goo Goo dolls. Foo Fighters and are own (kerb dog). To name but a few. The album itself is soaked to the point of strangulation in melodies, hooks and intense build ups.The band prides themselves on keeping their live shows energetic and intense with a splash of humour. The release date for the album is August 18th 2007 in the Spirit store Dundalk which will see the band back gigging for the first time in Three years….. |
